Who We Are
From a Support Group to a Community Organisation Driving Change
MAHIPSO was formed on 19 June 2016 as a Support Group at Kitovu Blood Bank in Masaka District, Central Uganda. The organisation was established with a primary motive of promoting access to friendly healthcare, justice and legal aid services for Structurally Excluded Persons.
From those community roots, MAHIPSO has developed into a rural community organisation with programming and members across the Greater Masaka Region.
MAHIPSO is duly registered by the Uganda Registration Services Bureau as a Company Limited by Guarantee and by Masaka District Local Government as a Community Based Organisation. The MAHIPSO Clinic is accredited as a Key Populations-serving health facility and registered by the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
