Masaka KP HIV Prevention and Support Organization (MAHIPSO) is Rural Community Organisation that was formed on the 19th of June 2016. We were formed as a Support Group at Kitovu Blood Bank, Masaka District, Central Uganda. MAHIPSO implements a range of integrated program domains designed to address the diverse needs of structurally excluded populations.
Health Service Delivery is MAHIPSO’s biggest and core programme during this Strategic Plan Phase for the period 2025 – 2029
Under this Program Domain, MAHIPSO seeks to respond to a gap regarding Intersex programming, advocacy, research, and service provision in Central Uganda
MAHIPSO commits to promoting economic justice by empowering structurally excluded communities to become self-reliant and financially independent.
MAHIPSO empowers structurally excluded communities by strengthening their voice, agency, and capacity to advocate for their own rights and foster self-determination.
MAHIPSO recognizes its strategic role as a leading community-based organization serving structurally excluded persons in rural Uganda and is committed to managing its growth responsibly.
MAHIPSO is committed to building strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, including Government Ministries and Agencies, Local Governments in the Greater Masaka Region, UN agencies, development partners, feminist movements, women’s funds, SOGIESC-focused donors, SRHR organizations, and human rights bodies. Through these collaborations, MAHIPSO aims to strengthen inclusive programming, promote health equity, and advance the rights and wellbeing of structurally excluded populations.
