MAHI CONNECT is a mobile application designed to bridge the gap between community members and essential health services, particularly in underserved and hard-to-reach areas. Developed with a focus on accessibility, convenience, and empowerment, the app is a digital health and support platform tailored for individuals seeking services related to mental health, HIV prevention and care, general healthcare, and referrals.
The core intention of MAHI CONNECT is to:
Provide a centralized digital platform where users can access a range of health services offered by a main clinic and its two branches (Drop-In Centers in Bukakata and Kalangala).
Empower users to book appointments, talk to counselors or doctors, request referrals, and report sensitive issues like gender-based violence in a safe, private, and supportive environment.
Deliver location-based services such as clinic locators with maps and working hours, helping clients find and visit the nearest available clinic.
Educate users through informational sections like the HIV Information Centre, and provide pathways to access PrEP, PEP, and other preventive care services.
Simplify access to mental health support, GBV reporting, and other critical interventions that often go unaddressed due to stigma or logistical challenges.
