Masaka Walks in Unity: Commemorating World AIDS Day with Hope and Action
On December 4th, the spirit of solidarity filled the streets of Masaka as we came together for the Masaka HIV Joint Walk in honor of World AIDS Day. This vibrant and unifying event brought together Masaka District Local Government, Masaka City Council, civil society organizations (CSOs), community leaders, and citizens—all marching as one to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and ignite hope in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The walk symbolized more than just a commemoration; it was a call to action, a celebration of progress made, and a reminder of the work that still lies ahead. With banners, songs, and powerful messages of resilience, the event showcased the strength of collective commitment toward ending HIV and ensuring inclusive health for all.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated, supported, and walked with us. Your presence is a strong statement that together, we can create a future free from HIV-related stigma and discrimination.
Let’s continue to walk the journey—united, informed, and empowered.
